The major project to be carried out by the Rotary Club of Otorohanga during 2006/7 will be this Student Art Contest. Club Members will invest several thousand hours of their time in organising this truly International Event. We believe that this investment in the artistic talents of our young people will have untold returns for our future generation.
Kiwi Can is a life skills and values programme for Year 1-Year 8 students. It is run in primary and intermediate schools across New Zealand. Its aim is to help build children’s self-esteem towards a positive future by helping them to:
* become more confident
* respect themselves and others
* be better prepared to handle the challenges and opportunities that life will offer them
